Halo 5 Memories of Reach Live Stream

Tonight's live stream will show content from the soon to be released Memories of Reach update. This will includes Infection gameplay, a look at REQ's, exploring the new UI elements and more. The stream can be watched on the Halo Twitch channel.

Game Informer: First Look at Halo 5’s Infection Mode

Game Informer's exclusive article and video gives fan their first real look at the upcoming Infection mode in Halo 5.  The article has details on the Infection game type as well as Q&A's with multiplayer engineer Geoff Landskov and community coordinator John Junyszek (@Unyshek).

 Infection is included with the Memories of Reach update which is set to release in the coming days.

HCS Pro League NA Summer Qualifier

The qualifier takes place at the ESL Studios in Burbank California 2 teams from each will will book there place in the HCS  NA Pro League. Casters for the matches will be Strongside, Goldenboy, and Gaskin, the action starts at 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm  BST / 9pm CEST and will be streamed on twitch.tv/Halo.

EU Pro League Summer Invitational Qualifier

The first qualifier for the European HCS Pro League begins today (May 8th) at 5:00pm BST. Eight European teams have been invited to take part with the top 2 teams securing their spot in the European Pro League. The remaining 6 teams will advance to the to last chance qualifier on May 21st.

Swat FFA This Week's Halo 5 Social Playlist

Swat FFA has replaced Super Fiesta as this week's Halo 5 social playlist.  Super Fiesta was an extremely popular playlist and was featured for two weeks instead of one due to it's popularity. It's likely it will be back sooner than later as it was so well received by the community.

Swat FFA should run from May 6th until May 13th.

Gamespot Reveal Halo 5 Memories of Reach Armor

Gamespot Reveals noble teams Halo 5 Memories of Reach Armor and Helmets.

The Memories of Reach update will be available as a free expansion some time in May and will be the sixth free expansion since the game launched in October.

Xbox E3 2016 Briefing Monday June 13th

This years Microsoft E3 media briefing will take place on Monday June 13th at 9:30 AM PDT
/ 12:30 PM EDT / 5:30 PM BST / 6:30 PM CEST

Halo is set to feature heavily in this years briefing as there is the possibility of multiple Halo titles releasing over the next 18 months. Halo Wars 2 will release later this year and it would not be surprising to get the announcement of a Halo 5 [insert sub-title here] game to release this year.  There is also the matter of the Halo TV that was announced back in 2013, not a lot is known about the show other than it is in "Very Active Development" look for more information at E3.

Each team at the studio is busy wrapping up their contributions to Memories of Reach. The release will include updates across the game, including the addition of a new game mode in the form of Infection (a bit more on that today), new controller options, UI updates (including post-game medals and more), new armor, skins, weapons, a new Arena battleground, matchmaking preference options, Forge updates, and much more, including some updates to REQ weapon balance, which we’ll also talk about in today’s blog.

It has only been 188 days since the launch of Halo 5 and the first person has reached the maximum spartan rank of 152.  To get to rank 152 you must obtain 50 million xp PURSUANTRUMBLEX has achieved this in a total play time of 59 days and 4 hours with 9120 games played.

BP keeping it clean with their latest ad

British Petroleum's new television ad for ultimate fuel with ACTIVE technology has a little green sprite which looks alot like the Superintendent from Halo 3 ODST.  In another connection to Halo the US version of the ad features the voice over talents of Tim Dadabo the voice actor who plays 343 Guilty Spark in the Halo universe.
